The Shaking: Eartth is Groaning

From the beginning the Lord tied obedience to the stability of the land. In Leviticus twenty six He promised rain in its season, peace in the land, and the removal of terror when His statutes were honored. He warned that persistent rebellion would bring terror, wasting disease, drought, famine, wild beasts, the sword, and finally exile until the land enjoyed its sabbaths. The land would vomit out a people who rejected His ways. This was spoken to ancient Israel yet it stands in scripture as a revelation of how God governs the earth. Covenant faithfulness brings order. Covenant treachery invites chaos. The earth is not a machine. It is a creation held together by the word of Christ.
