Domestic Crisis: Our Own Government Is to Blame

Donald Trump wasn’t the one who allowed half a million undocumented workers into our country. He wasn’t the one who let nearly a million immigrants in a single year. He didn’t write the laws that allow catch-and-release.

He’s not the one who approved safe consumption sites in our neighborhoods. He didn’t cripple our healthcare system to the point where it’s almost impossible to find a family doctor.

He isn’t the politician or the party that racked up more debt than every Prime Minister in Canadian history — and now Mark Carney is on pace to outdo even what Justin Trudeau has done.

Donald Trump doesn’t let criminals stay in the country just because their spouse has ADHD. He doesn’t allow sentences to be minimized just because someone might face deportation. Did you know about Warner? He robbed an LCBO, drove on the wrong side of the 401, caused a head-on crash, and killed a family of four. His sentence? Five and a half months. And guess what — that decision wasn’t made by Donald Trump.

Europe came to Canada and said: We want your liquified natural gas. We want your LNG. Donald Trump wasn’t the one who told them, “There’s no business case for it.” In fact, Donald Trump was the one who just signed that LNG deal last week.

Do you see where I’m going with this, Canadians? The problems we’re facing today — the issues crushing us domestically — they weren’t created by anyone else. They were created by our own government. It’s time for everyone to wake up.
