With all the race baiting it is amazing that the left ignores one of the greatest economic thinkers of the era since he like Clarence Thomas came from poverty imposed by the supposed good intentioned leftists. What may be the fault is that the left knows that they are not interested in the public wheel but in the self-aggrandizement of the liberal elites. It, to them, has never been about the welfare of the people but how to exploit every segment of society to grow their political power through control of the people and the means of production; just as it is for communists.
