“Reading the Bible Was Hard… Until This Changed Everything”

For the longest time, reading the Bible felt like a confusing chore. I opened its pages hoping to find peace or answers, but instead, I was overwhelmed with ancient language, long genealogies, and laws that didn’t seem to apply to my life.

Over time, my Bible started collecting dust. I still believed in God. I still prayed. But reading the Bible began to feel like an impossible task, like trying to learn a foreign language without a teacher.

Today, I don’t claim to understand everything in the Bible. There are still parts I wrestle with. But now, I read with trust. I trust that God is good, that Scripture is inspired, and that clarity grows with relationship.

In the end, my frustration was not a failure; it was a step in the journey. Through it, I learned to depend on God for understanding, not just on my own logic. And that shift—from striving to seeking—made all the difference.
