Ephesians 4:1-6

Paul has presented us with deep doctrinal truths in the first three chapters
Our redemption
Our spiritual blessings in Christ
Our former Gentile standing
Our new standing in Christ
Our understanding of the mystery of Christ and His Church
Our comprehension of God’s love for us in Christ
Our ultimate conformity to the image of Christ
Our calling to glorify God in the Church and Christ
In the next three chapters Paul will challenge us to “walk” out these doctrinal truths in a practical way. He begins with a reminder that we are to "walk" (live out) these great truths in a worthy manner. This is the walk to which the believer is called. It is a walk of humility, gentleness, long-suffering and love with other believers in the bond of peace.
