Isaac Clarke is an everyman engineer on a mission to repair a vast mining ship, the USG Ishimura, only to discover something has gone horribly wrong. The ship's crew has been slaughtered and Isaac’s beloved partner, Nicole, is lost somewhere on board.

Now alone and armed with only his engineering tools and skills, Isaac races to find Nicole as the nightmarish mystery of what happened aboard the Ishimura unravels around him. Trapped with hostile creatures called Necromorphs, Isaac faces a battle for survival, not only against the escalating terrors of the ship but against his own crumbling sanity.

In this playthrough we cover:

Chapter 1 – New Arrivals:
Isaac Clarke, along with Kendra Daniels and Zach Hammond, docks the USG Kellion with the massive planet-cracker ship USG Ishimura after a distress signal. The crew quickly discovers the ship is overrun with horrifying Necromorphs, forcing Isaac to fight for survival with improvised weapons like the Plasma Cutter. Separated from the team, Isaac works his way through dark corridors, restores the tram system, and begins repairing the ship while uncovering bloody signs of disaster. This chapter sets the tone with tense exploration, first combat encounters, and the eerie atmosphere of the derelict Ishimura.

Chapter 2 – Intensive Care:
Isaac heads toward the Medical Deck to locate Captain Mathius’s RIG, guided remotely by Hammond and Kendra. The mission takes him through twisted labs, quarantine zones, and surgical wings now crawling with Necromorphs. Players experience atmospheric horror mixed with problem-solving as Isaac restores power, gathers supplies, and learns more about the outbreak’s scale. He retrieves the Captain’s RIG only to witness the grotesque introduction of the Infector, which mutates corpses into new Necromorphs, raising the stakes for survival.

Chapter 3 – Course Correction:
With the ship’s tram and medical systems back online, Isaac heads to the Engineering Deck to repair the Ishimura’s engines. Fighting through zero-gravity maintenance bays and fuel stations, he must refuel the engines, restart turbines, and survive waves of Necromorph ambushes. Key gameplay includes oxygen-limited exploration in vacuum areas and high-stakes combat with tougher enemy types. The chapter culminates in Isaac restoring partial engine function, ensuring the Ishimura stays in orbit — but revealing that the nightmare is far from over.
