The Etheric Self is regarded in esoteric philosophy as the vital energetic template underlying our physical existence. Sometimes called the “vital body” or “ether-body,” it forms the first layer of the subtle energy field and overlaps directly with the physical body, sustaining life and acting as a bridge from dense matter to more refined, spiritual energies.

The Etheric Plane The Etheric Plane is considered the most subtle aspect of the physical plane—a layer of existence finer than ordinary matter, yet distinct from the Astral Plane.

The Etheric Body
