About This Story:
Just as Kori and Ren begin to build a new world, their old enemy, Malek, returns. But he is not the same brutish warlord. He has found a "ghost in the machine"—a dormant, hyper-aggressive military AI from humanity's forgotten wars. Now, Malek is the avatar of a cold, calculating god of war, commanding an army of perfect, efficient war-drones. Faced with a purely logical and overwhelmingly powerful enemy, Kori and Ren must unite their chaotic creativity and tactical precision to fight a war of ideas against an opponent who sees them as nothing more than scrap to be recycled.
