The message on August 17. 2025 was from the gospel of Luke and entitled “Luke – Beginning, Middle, and End”. Wayne started with a promotion of pamphlet “The Four Gospels ” by C.H. Welch and provided us a URL to download it and encouraged us to read it. This pamphlet provides an approach to the four gospels: Matthew “Behold thy King” (Zech. 9:9). Mark “Behold My Servant” (Isa. 42:1). Luke “Behold the Man” (Zech. 6:12). John “Behold your God” (Isa. 40:9). From the earliest times, the Cherubim have been associated with the four gospels and it will be remembered that these living ones are described as having four faces: Matthew The LION The King. Mark The OX The Servant. Luke The MAN Back to Adam. John The EAGLE My Lord and my God. The Companion Bible provides the literary structure of Luke where there is a beginning, middle and end. Luke opens with a declaration of what many eye witnesses believed and Luke adding his own accounting (Luke 1:1-3 KJV). Wayne covered the doctrine and pointed out the frequent use of the Temple. We even looked at the usage of the word in the New Testament but found only one reference to it in Ephesians 2:21 KJV, the only occurrence after the Acts period. In Ephesians 2:18-22 KJV we learn that “18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.” In the Mystery, we are one in a new holy temple in the Lord.

The scripture reading was from Luke 24:50-53 KJV “50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. 51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: 53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. “
