Zelensky warns: Russia still unsuccessful in Donetsk and rejects territorial concessions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reaffirmed in a recent statement that Russia continues to make no progress in the Donetsk region, despite more than a decade of failed attempts by the Kremlin. According to the head of state, Russian President Vladimir Putin “has been unable to take it for 12 years,” which, in his view, demonstrates both the strong resistance of the Ukrainian people and Moscow’s inability to achieve its strategic goals in the east of the country.
