Trump’s Push for Paper Ballots Shakes Up Georgia?

The RNC Summer Meeting in Atlanta (August 19-22, 2025) is heating up with JD Vance’s Georgia visit and Joe Gruters running unopposed for RNC chair with Trump’s endorsement. Gruters faces pressure from 200+ GAGOP delegate letters alleging a rigged convention. Trump’s recent post advocating for watermarked paper ballots and eliminating mail-in ballots and voting machines fuels Georgia’s election integrity debate, tied to the 2020 election and Fani Willis’ controversies. Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, Trump-endorsed for governor, campaigns on ending state income tax, but questions linger about replacing Georgia’s $20B revenue and rising local fees.

The RNC is having their summer meeting in Atlanta this week. JD Vance will come to Georgia, will he meet with a couple of candidates or will he just come to the RNC and head out of town. The meetings kick off tomorrow and the general session begins Friday. Joe Gruters is running unopposed for RNC chair and he has gotten the endorsement from President Trump. What Joe Gruters will also have by the end of the week are the 200+ letters from delegates at the GAGOP about the rigged convention.
We are in GA where Fani Willis is still drinking her Grey Goose, Trump has his mugshot, where the perfect phone call between Trump and Raffensperger where Trump is looking for the 11K votes that they claim that Trump lost in GA. There have been groups in Georgia that have been looking at data and working towards the truth in the 2020 election. This is in part why they don’t want Jason Fraizer on the Board of Elections. The recent post by Donald Trump is what many have been fighting for in Georgia. Trump posting “I am going to lead a movement to get rid of MAIL-IN BALLOTS, and also, while we’re at it, Highly “Inaccurate,” Very Expensive, and Seriously Controversial VOTING MACHINES, which cost Ten Times more than accurate and sophisticated Watermark Paper, which is faster, and leaves NO DOUBT, at the end of the evening, as to who WON, and who LOST, the Election.” Now this will play a big part in the governors race. Burt Jones has been endorsed by Donald Trump and right now his number one campaign issue is ending state income tax. But we have to ask every candidate for governor, lt governor, secretary of state and attorney general if they support Trump in getting rid of mail in ballots and eliminating the machines to go to watermarked paper ballots.
If the state of Georgia brings in $20B a year, do you really think they are going to end the state income tax and they will not bring in the $20B. They want to let you think you will not have to pay the money. Lawmakers have not done anything to lead us to believe that the people will not have to pay more, they will just have fees and other taxes to pay. Will they offset the loss by taxing the industries that have received the tax abatements? What will happen to those industries? What is the plan to replace the revenue with?
Don’t forget Burt Jones has worn the MAGA hat for the past 4 years and in the years that he has been lt governor, we have only one attempt at the end of the last session to go to paper ballots. We still have a secretary of state's office over our board of elections, we are still in the ERIC system and a lot still happening.
As the state is telling you that they are going to eliminate taxes, there are fees, taxes that are going through the roof. Until lawmakers that are running for office say where they are focused. City of Jonesboro looking at a 91% increase.
