He Shall Know of the Doctrine
(Determining the Purity of Doctrine through its Source)

define: Doctrine, Know/ledge, Pure/ity, Source

1. Pure Doctrine is from God the Father - v. 16
- He is true - v.18

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 5:23 That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

2. Pure Doctrine is Known by those the do God's will - v. 17

samples of those that the Lord 'deceived'
Israel - time of Jeremiah
Micaiah - 1 Kings 22:20-25

3. Pure Doctrine is Not Known by Hypocrites - v. 19
- they oppose themselves
- they oppose their source
- they hate the truth and it's teller
