Dr. Peter Kahn's Mitochondria and Drainage Jumpstart Program
Hello and welcome to my review of the Mitochondria and Drainage Jumpstart Program from Dr. Peter Kan at Hope Integrative Wellness Center. I will conduct this review in the following order: What is it? What's in it? and How I did?
What is it?
The Mitochondria and Drainage Jumpstart Program is a six-week program where I learned strategies to improve mitochondrial function for increased cellular energy and open drainage pathways to facilitate detoxification. This program is a part of the larger Neurometabolic Integration Digital Program, which is an online program that was developed by renowned functional medicine practitioner, Dr. Peter Kan. It is the same clinical roadmap he has developed over more than a decade of research and uses in his practice to support chronic conditions such as brain fog, fatigue, depression, anxiety, chronic inflammation, autoimmunity, leaky gut, food sensitivities, and digestive symptoms. I am currently using this roadmap to guide me through my healing process, which you can see behind me in my Weekly Updates.
What's in it?
This six-module course is held over six weeks with conference calls once a week and includes membership to Dr. Kahn’s forum for extra support.

Here's what the course looks like. Once I purchased it, I had access to all this information indefinitely. Every week, a new module opens, and I was able to work through it at my own pace before the weekly coaching calls.
Downloads of the presentation deck and assessments are included to track your progress, which I found convenient.
A lot of valuable information is included in the weekly coaching calls. During them, you are able to interact with Dr. Kahn and ask questions. A library of past coaching calls is available with this program.
Five supplements are recommended from CellCore: KL Support, Biotoxin Binder, Drainage Activator, BC ATP, and CT Minerals. This was my introduction to CellCore products, and I am a fan. They make a great product.
The brilliant part about this program is the focus on supporting the body's basic physiology. In this program, I improved metabolic functioning by focusing on improving circulation, blood sugar, and opening drainage pathways in the liver, gallbladder, bowels, kidneys, and skin. There's an emphasis placed on lifestyle changes to support your overall health, and I learned about breathing exercises, sleep management, and stress management.
I needed to make a few extra purchases to complete this program: an infrared thermometer, a pulse oximeter with PI, and a blood pressure cuff.
How I did?
I was a hot mess when I initially started this program. I had been in medical treatment and housebound for around five years. About roughly a year before this program, I learned I had Lyme disease and was being treated with herbals. The die-off made me extremely toxic, which was reflected in my lab work. I was too sick to do any meaningful exercise, and when I tried, I’d end up setting off my CFS, which would leave me wiped out for weeks.
This program helped by working with my physiology to improve drainage, stabilizing my blood sugar, and improving mitochondrial function. This was the first time I had done a program like this and had never heard of supporting mitochondrial function or improving drainage, but it made an enormous difference for me. Here is a snippet of my lab work before the program. As you can see, my ALT is elevated, which made me feel ill to the point that it was scary. Here are my labs after the course. As you can see, my ALT decreased significantly, leaving me feeling light years better.
My blood sugar also improved. As you can see here, my fasting glucose before MDJP was 95. I had been struggling with high fasting glucose since the rough part of my healing journey began back in 2017, and it usually came back around 100. After MDJP and adding berberine to my regimen, it improved. As you can see here, my fasting glucose dropped to 86, which was an amazing accomplishment for me.
I found this program to be extremely challenging because you are pushed to get moving to exercise. By working with Dr. Kahn, he got me exercising without burnout by lowering my target heart rate and helped me to balance my blood sugar, which had been an ever-increasing problem.
