DC Crime Plummets Under Federal Control -- Previous Department Accused of Changing Stats

Carjackings in Washington, D.C. have plummeted 83%, while overall crime is down 8% since President Trump deployed federal agencies to assist the Metropolitan Police Department last week, according to the D.C. Police Union. Just weeks before Trump federalized the city’s police force over mounting crime woes, the department faced accusations of allegedly juking crime stats to produce more favorable results.
