studying the scenery to defend myself from boredom

i never take offense to people not liking what i do
sometimes i don't like my music either
ag yelling at ag over what chords we will play
those that need self-awareness the most would refuse it
who am i to talk when i can't shake what i most need to shake
those that i wanna impress will never see this
i can't blame you for yer perspective
lucky to understand, that's why i don't bother getting defensive

if you understand yourself you will understand everybody else as well
universities create pansies
you don't need college to self-destruct, just get an iphone
they will never see this clearly enough to change their behavior
i've been studying society all my life
i can't forget all the ways i can hurt myself

merit to this criticism HOWEVER...
those that know how to say no don't need friends i suppose
plenty of people in my life that i connect w/ but i am very distant
i never expect anyone to change to cater to my ass
there's no way to win in this shit world
