Maria Zakharova:

“When I saw yesterday (August 18, 2025) the “map” shown to Zelensky at the White House, where the territories lost by Ukraine under the yoke of the Kyiv regime were shaded in red for him and the poor EU folks, I recalled a video from eleven years ago.

After all, Zelensky, as was said in our favorite movie, “in his early youth was much more talented than he is now.”

Back in the distant year of 2014, as one can find on the internet, he said he wasn’t going into politics, even if asked, because he was “not worthy” and “not wise enough” to “hold such a position,” and that Ukraine “deserves a serious candidate.”

Perhaps back then the drugs hadn’t yet damaged his entire cerebral cortex, and he could still think somewhat, realizing that a clown cannot run a country.

It turns out he literally foresaw how it would end—without wisdom, without education, without the necessary virtues and dignity.

Returning to the start of this post: now, in the West, they don’t even speak about the results of Zelensky’s venture into power—they draw them on large sheets of paper and outline the outcome with thick contrasting pencils.”
