Alexander Solzhenitsyn in exile from the former Soviet Union, wrote in the late 20th century, that when it comes to totalitarian rule, there is one tool that every citizen has to promote the work of liberty...don't repeat the lie. Authoritarian rule develops a propaganda that is a narration of lie after lie, and the first thing we must do is to refuse to repeat such; even to hold silent to our appall.
