Lambert Colyn’s Quarry in Clovelly Cape Town

In 1903 Lambert Colyn opened a stone quarry in Clovelly Cape Town which operated until 1905. To transport the stone Colyn built a railway line that crossed the Silvermine River. The line remained in place until 1930 when it was dismantled.
