8.17.2025 The Devil Fears Your Comeback (1 Samuel 27 & 29)

This week at Point Lookout Community Church, we were blessed to welcome Frank Leonetti from Mercy Works who shared a powerful word on the faithfulness of God and the hope we have in Christ.

In this message, we see how the enemy fears the comeback of a believer who returns wholeheartedly to the Lord. Just as David made mistakes but was restored, and just as the prodigal son came home to his father, God is always faithful—even when we are faithless. The sermon reminds us:

* The devil fears reconciliation with God because it restores our authority in Christ
* Hidden faith remains even in the life of a wandering believer
* God always provides a way out of temptation and leads us back to Himself
* No one is too far gone—our comeback is what the enemy dreads most

This encouraging word challenges us to fully bow to Christ as Lord, to resist the “half bow” of divided loyalty, and to believe that God can bring home the prodigal sons and daughters we’ve been praying for.
