Isaac Clarke is an everyman engineer on a mission to repair a vast mining ship, the USG Ishimura, only to discover something has gone horribly wrong. The ship's crew has been slaughtered and Isaac’s beloved partner, Nicole, is lost somewhere on board.

Now alone and armed with only his engineering tools and skills, Isaac races to find Nicole as the nightmarish mystery of what happened aboard the Ishimura unravels around him. Trapped with hostile creatures called Necromorphs, Isaac faces a battle for survival, not only against the escalating terrors of the ship but against his own crumbling sanity.

In this playthrough we cover:

Chapter 7 – Into the Void:
Isaac heads down to the Mining Deck to retrieve a precious navigation module needed to get the Ishimura moving again. The trip forces him deep into the mines, where he battles swarms of Necromorphs and contends with unstable gravity and machinery. He also encounters audio logs from Dr. Temple, uncovering his desperate search for Elizabeth Cross before meeting a tragic fate. As Isaac secures the module, the Hunter stalks him once again, proving Mercer’s creation is nearly unstoppable.

Chapter 8 – Search and Rescue:
Hope briefly returns when a military ship, the USM Valor, responds to the Ishimura’s distress call. Isaac and Hammond attempt to establish communication, but chaos erupts when the Valor collides with an escape pod carrying a Necromorph. Hammond formulates a plan while tensions rise with Kendra, who grows increasingly secretive and distrustful. The chapter closes with Isaac realizing the Valor is doomed, and what should have been salvation quickly turns into another nightmare.

Chapter 9 – Dead on Arrival:
Isaac boards the USM Valor to salvage its singularity core, essential for building a bomb to destroy the Marker. Inside, he finds the ship overrun by Necromorphs, its crew slaughtered within minutes of the infection spreading. Fighting through blazing wreckage and heavy resistance, Isaac secures the core, but at a devastating cost — Hammond is killed by a Brute (Chen) during the mission. With the bomb’s key component in hand, Isaac barely escapes the Valor before it’s destroyed, realizing survival rests solely on his shoulders.
