Israel's relentless campaign of demolition continues in northern Gaza, with residential areas of Gaza City blanketed in smoke and debris from bombing.
At least 40 people have been killed in Israeli attacks across the Strip since early on Tuesday August 19, 2025.
Over 450 buildings have been destroyed in just nine days, leaving once-thriving neighborhoods like al-Sabra and Zeitoun in ruins.
The destruction extends to vital infrastructure, including hospitals, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. Despite Israel designating areas like al-Mawasi as 'safe zones', displaced Palestinians there have also fallen victim to attacks.
The United Nations reports that 1,857 Palestinians have been killed while seeking food, including 1,021 near Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites.
As ceasefire negotiations struggle to gain traction, Israel's military assaults continue to result in widespread civilian casualties, starvation, and forced displacement across the Gaza Strip.
The ongoing attacks have left Palestinians grappling with immense loss and an uncertain future.

Al Jazeera's Caley Callahan reports.
