You WON’T BELIEVE the Tension on CBS this Morning!😱😂

Today CBS Mornings featured a segment discussing President Trump’s recent criticism of the Smithsonian Institution’s museums. Trump had posted on Truth Social, claiming the museums were “OUT OF CONTROL” and overly focused on negative aspects of U.S. history, such as “how horrible our Country is, how bad Slavery was, and how unaccomplished the downtrodden have been,” with insufficient emphasis on “Success,” “Brightness,” or “the Future.” He announced that his administration was initiating a review of the Smithsonian’s exhibits to align them with promoting “American exceptionalism” and removing what he described as “woke” or “divisive” narratives.
The conversation highlighted the awkward contrast between these comments and Trump’s 2017 praise for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, where he commended it as a “shining example” of African Americans’ contributions and acknowledged the “sins of slavery and the injustice of discrimination,” vowing to fight “bigotry, intolerance and hatred.”

The segment, reported by CBS correspondent Jarred Hill, noted broader frustration among some groups over perceived “erasure” of history, adding to the tension in discussing Trump’s shift in tone.

The CBS host who was trying to support Trump’s point got the cold shoulder from the other two hosts pretty quickly, and you could cut the tension with a knife.
Especially notable was the uncomfortable body language all around.

Awkward!
