Sonic Blast[note 1] is a 1996 platform video game developed by Aspect and published by Sega for the Game Gear, marking the final Sonic game on the system. Brazilian developer Tectoy also developed a Master System port released exclusively in that country. It is notorious for using pre-rendered visuals for its graphics unlike its predecessors, a trend popularized by Donkey Kong Country.
