"Hollywood spent probably the last 15 or 20 years basically telling half of its audience that they don't want them to watch, that they hate them, that they're deplorables.

'If you don't support Obama, if you're not for…these different rights groups, if you're not part of that, then we're going to demonize you, and we're going to make programming that makes fun of you, that ridicules you.

…They've driven half the audience away. And so when you have a film that does appeal to that audience, people turn out. People go to the theater.

Or when you have a film that just doesn't attack that audience, like Top Gun: Maverick, something like that, they turn out…And so that's what I mean by there's an opportunity there."
