I am Emily Bett Rickards, a Canadian actress born on July 24, 1991, in the vibrant city of Vancouver, British Columbia. My journey into the world of acting began in 2008 when I stepped into the spotlight for Nickelback’s music video “Never Gonna Be Alone.” It was a small but thrilling start that ignited my passion for performing.

Determined to pursue my dreams, I graduated high school early and enrolled in the Vancouver Film School’s Acting Essentials Program. I spent countless hours honing my craft, from studying scripts to refining my voice at Alida Vocal Studio. Every moment felt like a step toward something bigger.

In 2012, my life changed when I landed the role of Felicity Smoak on The CW’s Arrow. What started as a one-episode appearance turned into something extraordinary, thanks to the undeniable chemistry I shared with my co-star Stephen Amell. The fans embraced Felicity’s wit and heart, and by the second season, I was a series regular. From 2012 to 2020, I brought Felicity to life not only on Arrow but also across the Arrowverse in shows like The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Vixen, as well as in the web series Arrow: Blood Rush and the film Vixen: The Movie. It was a whirlwind of a journey, and I cherished every moment of embodying such a beloved character.

Beyond television, I ventured into film, making my big-screen debut in 2015 with a supporting role in the Oscar-nominated Brooklyn, acting alongside incredible talents like Saoirse Ronan and Julie Walters. I continued to explore diverse stories in indie films like Funny Story and The Clinic in 2018, and We Need to Talk in 2020. Theatre has always been close to my heart, and in 2019, I took the stage in the powerful play Reborning, performing in both Vancouver and Off-Broadway. It was a reminder of why I fell in love with acting in the first place.
