He references the Book of Ezekiel 28:15-17, noting that iniquity was found within the devil; he had no tempter and was not deceived by anyone, but was born with iniquity. So, anyone who chooses the author of sin over God Almighty shares in the punishment meant for that author.

Additionally, Joseph explains that everyone who rejects Jesus is headed for hell because Jesus was sent to save humanity from the condemnation caused by sin. This sin started with Adam, who fell for the devil’s trick, tainting all his descendants with the devil’s guilt.
