Were the Suffragettes Feminists?

Feminism teaches us that it has come in four ‘waves’: the Suffragettes were the first wave, the 60s-90s were the second wave, the 2000s were the third wave, and the fourth wave started around 2010. Yet I believe that this is false. There has only been one wave of feminism, and it started in the 1960s. The Suffragettes and early women’s thinkers were not feminists in the way that contemporary post-60s feminists are.
