Why Leaders Follow Trump

You know what Trump told Zelenskyy? “You can come to the White House—and bring whatever friends you want.” That one line speaks volumes, because all these European leaders want to look relevant, and they knew Trump was the one brokering the deal. After four years of others getting nowhere, Trump decided, “I’m going to resolve this.” Whether it was Pakistan and India, Cambodia and Thailand, or tamping down Iran’s aggression in the Middle East—he brought peace to hotspots because of the stature he carried. Leaders didn’t mind showing up to the Oval Office, because standing next to Trump made them look like statesmen on the world stage.
