The film is based on the true story of a self-taught mathematical genius.
Unlike Newton, Tesla, Einstein or Hawking, Srinavasa Ramanujan came from a relatively poor background, had no college education but was still able to penetrate a dimension of higher mathematical sciences at just 16.
Without internet, books, lecturers, schooling, he laid down the groundwork for later mathematicians to develop complex abstract theorems that's helped us to understand and shape the world around us today including the deepest aspects of the Universe.
