Here's part 1 of many to come. I didn't realize I had my compressor settings set to strong in Vegas when editing Suikoden 2, I was rushing those, I usually check the lows of the music and pump it up until it's around -16 or -12, but these games music have a very wide dynamic range I wasn't aware of. I'm not going back to fix those (Mostly because I already deleted and didn't archive the stream 1 recording I did and didn't have the foresight to render out bowlth a non (original dynamic range) compressed and (dynamic range) compressed audio only version if I wanted to fix it later, and once dynamic range is narrowed, you can't really reverse it without the original, and I'm not gonna manually use audio curves to manually lower the music.), I'll probably double down on my settings, since I rather it be too loud than not loud enough. Suikoden 2 had the gain set to +21, but this video I set to +12, and YouTube stat for nerds says it's -14.5 lufs which is more what I want compared to -12.6 lufs from the Suikoden 2 videos I already published. Oh well.
I'll keep making DSP Suikoden 1 videos as long as they get views and engagement, or I wage quit making these. This playthrough is from March 2025, so before the Kino Casino Snakening, so I hope it does well considering this is from a long time ago from like 5 months ago or so.
