According To The Data, 11,488 Unaccompanied Migrant Children Were Placed With Sponsors Who Were Not Their Parents Or Legal Guardians And Who Did Not Undergo Required Fingerprinting Or Background Checks – Between January 2021 And January 2025

In Addition, Biden's HHS Did Not Conduct Home studies For Nearly 80,000 Migrant Children Under The Age Of 12, Including Almost 2,000 Cases Where Studies Were Recommended Under HHS Regulations.

Overall, HHS Took In More Than 450,000 Unaccompanied Migrant Children From October 2020 To September 2024, With An Additional 21,399 Children Cared For From October 2024 To June 2025.

He Also Praised The Trump Administration's Recent Reforms, Including An Initiative To Combat Fraud, Exploitation, And Trafficking In The Unaccompanied Minor Program.
A Recent Department Of Homeland Security Office Of Inspector General Report Corroborated These Issues, Citing Instances Of Children Being Lost, Or Placed With Dangerous Sponsors, While Over 65,000 Reports Were Ignored, Including 7,300 Potential Trafficking Cases.
