Lisa Boothe: Trump Broke the Dem Party, They’re Facing This Identity Crisis, We’re Seeing Them Suffering Through

BOOTHE: “I just think the Democratic Party, they are broken, Trump broke them. So they’re facing this identity crisis that we are all seeing them suffering through. You know, I feel optimistic for at least — not for them but for Republicans, particularly this election siege. I know Matt in mentioned earlier about the generic ballot for Democrats. If you look at the real clear politics average around 4 percentage points within the margin of error. Heading into the midterms at least if you are Republicans, again, Democrats are hopeless at this point. You have record low for approval rating for Democrats. 13 Democrats running in Trump won seats from 2024. Only 3 Republicans running in seats that Kamala Harris won. Then you add on the opportunity for, you know, maybe a dozen pickup seats with redistricting for Republicans as well. Also Republicans are heading into the midterms with a financial advantage. So, in a time in the midterm cycle where historically the left should at least win back the house, I don’t know, I’m not seeing it right now.”
