Wing: Magpie or White Tipped Turkey Tail

The Magpie is another wet fly from Ray Bergman's book Trout (page 437, plate #5). The Magpie is a wet fly that has a wing from a Magpie feather but does allow for a substitution of White Tipped Turkey Tail. There are a number of wet flies that use Magpie and include this substitution. I have not worked with Magpie much as my skin does not have any "white tipped" sections on any feathers. Anyone else have any experience with Magpie they could share? --Enjoy
