Are You A Family? Nope!

Do you remember the TV shows in the 1950's where they showed the entire family gathering around the dinner table every evening? Not very realistic, probably not then and certainly not now. Yet, for Believers in Christ, that is exactly what it is supposed to be like.

We are called by Jesus to be a Family in every respect. To Love each other, and yes even to spend time together. And that does not just mean saying hello for 30 seconds on Sunday morning. If we are truly the "Church Family" we claim to be, then our actions would show it. We would act like a real family acts.

We would be spending time together regularly and we would know what was going on in the lives of those who are also part of our "Church Family" just as we should know what is going on in the lives of our children or parents. But that is not the case.

Join us for Conversations With The Evangelist as we look at the issue of how we have let the problems and distance in our Culture become such an entrenched part of our Churches today. And, let me be very clear, I am talking here about ALL Modern American Churches today. I have not been in a part of one, visited one, or heard about a church in the 40 some years since God saved my life that is actually a Family in the way Christ intended as shown by their actions not their words. We will then discuss what it should look like and how we can reach that level while there is still time to change.

Be in prayer for Bringing the Body of Christ together Ministry this week as next Saturday they will have a Major Outreach among the Homeless where they will pass out 200 Bibles and throw blankets while also taking the time to listen and recognize that these are still people and still worthy of our Love just as Jesus loves them.
