NT Framework 95_What the Framework Solves

SBC Family,

The church renovation is coming along nicely. Due to budget restraints but desire to see things fully touched by the renovation, Robin, I, and a very helpful crew (you know who you are) have done a lot the last few weeks. The contract workers are not here much now until things strike up again on Sept 9’ish, and that will be the last phase. The big items are still to come in the kitchen and sanctuary, but I pray you appreciate the updates and can see a small part of the vision we have for SBC. Conferences, training center, camp, and more possibilities as we reach out to Spokane and the surrounding area to create opportunities for everyone to serve and be productive. Paul said, “Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful” (Titus 3:14). I want you to have a rich entrance into the kingdom of God! I am striving intellectually, spiritually, and physically to accomplish the tasks the Lord has laid before us in ‘this’ generation and to serve in these capacities.

Tomorrow I will cast my vision for the next generation of SBC. We have an opportunity to do something rarely done. Everyone rally, be on the same page (i.e. unite, Eph 4:1-3) and accomplish something great. This is what happened at Dallas Theological Seminary in the 1960’s. This is when each department was at it’s strongest and the result was they produced the greatest generation of Bible teachers the world has ever seen. We are still enjoying some of the benefit from those teachers, but it all began to fall apart in the 1970’s due to the postmodern deconstruction of Jacque Derrida and others who began to influence the concept of language and truth immediately after. I am fighting this cultural decay intellectually and spiritually in the pulpit and classroom both in person and virtually around the world. A strong organization has goals and a means of reaching those goals. It requires leadership. It also requires followers committed to the vision. It also requires teamwork. I’m here to lead us and work together to meet the unique challenges of training the next generation. Parents and grandparents, you are critical for the little folks since God has given you the primary responsibility and the church is an equipping ministry (Eph. 4:11ff). It helps equip parents to be more effective in their homes. But you are the key to instilling these ideas in the next generation. All of us have opportunity to think through what I will present and train the next generation to be warriors for the truth and not crumple under the crushing challenges they will be facing (please read how Paul responded in his generation,

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;
8 we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;

9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” - 2 Cor. 4:7-10

I have slated to explain the major issue we are facing tomorrow and a training methodology to meet that issue. More than ever, believers in the United States are facing obsolescence. Is there a way back?

Please pray for the roof. State Farm is NON-RESPONSIVE and I am contacting the Washington State Insurance Commissioner’s office to file Consumer complaint. We need a roof before this Winter comes.
