Finland’s Stubb: “We’ll Find a Solution to End Russian Aggression in 2025”

Finnish President Alexander Stubb said:
“We are a small country, but we share an 800-mile border with Russia, and we survived the Winter War. We found a solution in 1944 — and we will find one in 2025 to end Russian aggression and secure a just peace.”

Historical context:
Finland lost the Winter War, ceding over 11% of its territory to the USSR — more than Moscow initially demanded. During WWII, Finland allied with Nazi Germany and participated in the siege of Leningrad, though it maintained its own command and never formally joined the Axis.
