Macron Calls Putin “Predator, Cannibal at Our Gates” in TF1 Interview

In an interview with TF1-LCI on August 19, 2025, Emmanuel Macron called Vladimir Putin “a predator, a cannibal at our gates.”

He added: “Russia is a predatory nation, a cannibal — and I say this about the Russians.”

The remarks sparked immediate backlash from Moscow, which labeled them “hysterical” and “unbefitting a head of state.”
