Whereby We Cry

When a person is born again, they have the Spirit of God within them. They are then led by the Holy Spirit as they go through each day. And this is how you know that you are a child of God, because you have the Holy Spirit leading you. The promises that are in the rest of Romans chapter 8 are not there for the atheist or the unbeliever, or even the false confessor of faith. These promises are for the true believer on Jesus Christ. They cannot be claimed by anyone else. There are plenty of people that have made a profession of faith on Jesus Christ, but they are not born again. They may have said a prayer, but there was no heart behind it, there was no conviction behind it, there was not true meaning behind it. True salvation means knowing Jesus Christ, you do not need to know everything about Him, but you must know that He saved you.
