Episode 1124: What is God's purpose for the 7-year Tribulation? Part 1

Hello everyone. In this morning's Bible study we look at the book of Daniel's prophecy concerning the AntiChrist's behavior and what's makes the most evil man so diabolical.

Also, we address the question, why will the Lord allow this man to rule over and kill 2/3's of the Jewish people according to the prophet Zechariah.

This is what the prophet Daniel recorded in chapter 11.

Daniel 11:36 (NKJV) 36 “Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done."

This is a very interesting prophecy as it provides details on the character traits of the Beast.

First, he has the character of Satan who also wanted to impose his own will on God's creatures in lieu of serving his Creator. This he did by convincing 1/3rd of the angelic host who were eyewitnesses of the LORD's creative power when they witnessed the Lord creating the physical part of creation. Isaiah 14

Second, he is like Satan in that both desire to "sit" down on God's throne however Satan is smarter than the AntiChrist because he declared that he wanted to be "LIKE" the Most High God and not replace the Lord. Of course Satan knew that that wasn't possible, unlike the mere man, the Beast. Isaiah 14

Third, the AntiChrist like Satan will make war against the nation of Israel in an attempt to keep Christ from returning to Earth to fulfill prophecies regarding sitting on the throne of David and ruling over Israel and the entire earth. Zechariah 13, 2 Sam. 7, Rev. 12-13

Finally, the AntiChrist like Satan will be judged by the Lord Jesus Christ. Both will be casted into the lake of fire. One would believe that Satan would be the first occupant since he is the father of all sin and sinners, beginning the rebellion against the Lord. Yet the scriptures declare that the Beast will be the very first occupant in the place called Outer Darkness where there is a lake of fire and brimstone. This reveals the total depravity the lies in the hearts of all men if the Lord removes all restraints on our abilities to commit evil. Daniel 11, Rev. 19 & 20.
