One with the Father

The message on August 24, 2025 was titled "One with the Father" and it studied the trinity and how God is a triune God manifested in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  We quickly looked at 1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." This message delves into the biblical concept of unity, focusing on John 17 and John 10. It emphasizes the Trinity, citing First John 5:7, and explains the distinct roles of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Wayne highlights the importance of understanding scriptural context, particularly the unity in John 17, which is about believers' relationship with God, and the unity in John 10, which refers to Jesus' role as the shepherd. The conversation also touches on the significance of numbers in the Bible, such as the repeated "Lord" in Deuteronomy 16:11, and the numerical patterns in scripture. Wayne would like to explore the significance of the number 7 in the Bible and revisit the discussion on the unity between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and how it relates to the concept of love within the Godhead.

The scripture reading was from John 17:1-6 KJV "1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. 6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word."
