Thousands of Australians join nationwide protests in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza

Protesters are gearing up for rallies across Australia in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
Demonstrations are planned in more than 20 cities and towns in what organisers dub a “National Day of Action.”
Nearly two weeks ago Australia's government pledged to recognise Palestinian statehood in September.
There's been growing diplomatic tension with Israel ever since.
