4Chan’s Going to War with the UK over Online Sensorship Act

The legal team representing 4Cahn sent a response to the UK following their attempt to impose a fine on the message board.

The UK has rolled out the Online Safety Act, which is a means to censor information the UK government doesn’t like, but instead of bowing to pressure, 4Chan is fighting back. Under US laws, American company’s have no obligation to bow to foreign power and 4Chan has no assets within the UK. If 4Chan succeeds, it makes it clear such US laws expand even to the internet. If they fail then this would allow UK bureaucrats to overrule the US Constitution.
