Miles and Lily Prower (Skylines)

I'm working on a story called Skylines where Tails is framed and arrested for several majorly serious crimes. While in jail, he discovers he has a long-lost younger sister named Lily, who tracks him down to help his friends build a defense. After he's exonerated and released, she helps him heal, opening him up to the dark, mysterious, enticing world of alternative underground culture. Her emotional support and insight are what allow him to end things peacefully, ultimately saving his accuser andhelping her pick up the pieces as well. During this process, Lily helps Tails work through the grief brought on not just by his damaged reputation, but also their parents' abandonment when they were newborns. Ultimately, it's about healing and growth, and the difference one of two good friends can make in the face of overwhelming odds. Even outside of jail, he would've had a much harder time getting through the fallout without them. Any small reprieve is welcome when suffering and death come knocking on your doorstep, even if only for a little while.
