Hello everyone. In this morning's Bible study we address viewers confusion regarding the 70 weeks prophecy given by Daniel and the length of the Tribulation which is 7 years.

Why is there confusion? I believe there is confusion for several reasons.

1. Because people do not read the entire Bible. Meaning that when they get to passages in the scriptures they don't trace the origin nor follow it through to God's conclusion.

2. They unwittingly substitute God's word for their understanding. Meaning that they unwittingly apply today's meanings, persons, places, and customs to the scriptures.

For example, although the scriptures makes it clear that the Church was a total and complete mystery to every Old Testament writer, yet without exaggeration most people read the Church into the Old Testament. This occurs all the time when people read the four gospels wherein the Church is nowhere to be found.

3. People value the opinion of men over the clear teaching of scriptures.

So how do we overcome these things? Study the word of God for yourself and allow the word of God through the Holy Spirit to transform your thinking to thinking God's thoughts after Him.

The 70 weeks is for Israel and has nothing to do with the Church. It was given to Israel by Moses as part of the Law therefore it cannot be "transferred" to the Church nor should anyone desire that it does.

You may be saying, why not? Well, for starters it leads to the Tribulation which is the wrath of God being pour out on a wicked world and rebellious nation of Israel.

Second, almost every believer will die via guillotine. Yes, they will be decapitated.

This is why we must rightly divide the word of Truth void of our opinions and preconceived beliefs.

This morning's study is 1 hour and 19 minutes in duration. I have broken it into six segments. This is segment 1 of 7 title What is the 70 weeks spoken of by Daniel and why is the Tribulation 7 years. Part 1
