When Africans speak about the United States, their words are not always filled with admiration. Beyond the image of freedom and democracy, many Africans see hypocrisy, exploitation, and interference. From supporting corrupt leaders to benefiting from Africa’s resources, from cultural influence to political dominance, the USA is viewed by many as both a partner and a problem.

In this video, we explore the negative thoughts Africans have about America: hypocrisy in democracy, exploitation of natural resources, interference in African politics, cultural colonization, double standards in human rights, and the painful legacy of wars and interventions.

This is not hatred — it is disappointment. A call for Africa to rise, to depend less on America, and to build its own future.
