How Do You Measure Success?

Cathy begins her sermon series on Measuring UP from Ephesians chapter 4, verses 11-13 in the NLT version where Paul explains the gifts that Christ gave to the church to equip God’s people to do the work and to build up the church. It is important what you say about your future. Be passionate about measuring up to God, but how measuring up is our personal responsibility. To be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ, using Ephesians as your measuring device. God always has new things for us to grow toward. Never set yourself on cruise control but be always advancing and moving forward as He puts new things in your heart. Don’t measure yourself to your Hollywood’s view of success—God has a method of success, a pattern to measure up. Using the Bible in front of your eye’s makes a difference!
