Two lockboxes missing in one day… time to make new keys and keep moving 👀🔑

Well… today property management threw another curveball. Not just one, but two lockboxes went missing from homes we’re showing. 😅

That means it’s time for some damage control:
1️⃣ Headed to the home improvement store to make duplicate keys.
2️⃣ Re-set lockboxes on the doors.
3️⃣ Prepare the properties again so showings and viewings can continue.

This is the not-so-glamorous side of property management. Lockboxes disappearing means:

Extra time wasted replacing them

Additional costs for keys, boxes, and sometimes rekeying the entire home

Delays in showings if homes aren’t secured and accessible

But the job doesn’t stop. Tenants are looking, homeowners are waiting, and properties need to stay active on the market.

💡 Here’s the takeaway: In this business, you’ve got to be ready to adapt fast. Problems happen, but recovery is what keeps the system moving.

Frustrating? Sure.
Fixable? Always.
