The trial for Donna Adelson, the grandmother from Miami, accused of conspiring to murder Florida State University Law Professor Dan Markel is beginning today with opening statements scheduled to begin after lunchtime. Dan was in the middle of a bitter custody battle with Donna's daughter, Wendi Adelson. Donna's trial was supposed to begin in September 2024 but was delayed.
