The Mask of Anonymity: How Trolls Use Projection and Gaslighting.

A question came in from @SecretsoftheRedRooms:
“Are you actually saying that you know some of these people have convictions for the types of crimes that they are accusing you of – like noncing children and stalking women, for example?”

My answer is yes. (I don’t know, but I suspect.) Absolutely. Unequivocally, yes!

Let’s call this out for what it really is: projection. Trolls accuse others of the very things they themselves are guilty of. They shout “nonce,” “stalker,” “abuser,” all while burying their own histories of those exact same crimes. It’s a classic psychological tactic—shift the spotlight onto someone else before it shines on you.

And when you challenge them with facts, they turn to gaslighting. They’ll twist your words, deny reality, and try to convince the audience that up is down, black is white, and truth is lie. It’s manipulative theatre, played out for clicks, attention, and the illusion of moral superiority.

But let’s not forget the most important point here: their anonymity isn’t random. It isn’t about “privacy” or “safety.” It’s about concealment. They know that if their real names were attached to their accusations, their past convictions and criminal records would be exposed in an instant. The mask of anonymity is their only shield.

This is why they hide. This is why they scream louder than anyone else. They know their credibility would collapse if people could see who they really are.

So when these trolls accuse me—or anyone else—of the most heinous crimes imaginable, remember this:

Projection: They accuse others of what they themselves have done.
Gaslighting: They twist reality to keep their lies alive.
Anonymity: They hide because exposure would ruin them.

Strip away the mask, and the truth is clear. The accusers are often the guilty. The trolls are often the predators. And the ones demanding “justice” are terrified of facing justice themselves.
