The modern American finds themselves caught in a system not unlike feudalism, where the wealthy and powerful dictate the terms while everyday citizens shoulder the burden. From financial manipulation to political maneuvering, the parallels to medieval peasantry are striking and deeply troubling.
Nowhere is this more evident than in our financial systems. The Social Security program—originally designed as a retirement investment—has been rebranded as "benefits," transforming what should be recognized as our rightful returns into perceived government charity. When you do the math, it's staggering: a worker earning $30,000 annually who invested their Social Security contributions at even 1% interest would have $1.3 million at retirement, yielding triple what Social Security currently pays. Meanwhile, the government freely spent these funds elsewhere, leaving future generations holding the bag.
This control extends beyond our finances. The Federal Reserve operates with remarkable independence, as evidenced by recently-fired Governor Lisa Cook's claim that the President lacks authority to remove her despite alleged mortgage fraud. The central banking system has proposed addressing demographic decline through immigration, pushing more women into full-time work, and extending working hours—prioritizing economic mechanisms over family wellbeing.
Our cities reflect this two-tier reality. Washington DC—a city of just 10 square miles—witnessed murders every week for decades until recent interventions. Baltimore has lost over 300,000 residents fleeing crime and decay. The contrast between pristine government buildings and crime-ridden neighborhoods perfectly illustrates America's growing divide.
These issues transcend partisan politics. Both parties have contributed to systems that increasingly serve narrow interests rather than the public good. For the modern peasant, awareness is the first step toward change. Understanding how these systems actually function creates the foundation for meaningful reform.
Take back your power. Question the narratives. Build resilience through community connections and financial independence. The revolution may not be televised, but perhaps it will be podcasted, as more citizens recognize their common challenges and demand a more responsive, accountable system of governance.
